I think his ideas are that we are heating up the planet while we could use a non-harm, simple, cheap ways to have a light source. There are different ways instead of using electricity and harming the planet. Some of the ways are using a detector, and an imager. It converts to an electron and you stick it on your window creating an image you can see through. If you don't need the light then you can beam it to your neighbour's house or friends'.
